Priorities.

Blair postpones his to look for peace. Bush doesn't want a cease fire and heads to Crawford. (I feel sorry for Bush though, only 10 days.)
If America learned nothing else from the disastrous Carter Administration, it's the importance of vacation time. Carter's refusal to leave the White House until all the hostages in Iran were free made him look soft, compassionate. Today's president knows how to give off a Brando-esque indifference to the world around him, a laid back cool that tells the forces of evil "Hey, whatever, man."

He probably feels like some sort of martyr, too, for having only 10 days of vacation instead of his usual 5 weeks.
