This is Frightening.

I imagine our founding fathers are bouncing around in their graves over a lot of the civil liberties we have lost in the aftermath of 9/11. The Bush administration has been claiming they need to listen to our phone calls as a result of 9/11 but, this story makes it clear they requested phone records seven months before the "terra" attack.

To quote James Madison:

"The means of defense against foreign danger historically have become the instruments of tyranny at home."
